From the great state of Washington, Payton May is currently Miss America's Outstanding Teen 2020 and 2021. After graduating from high school with honors, she took a gap year before starting at the University of Southern California in the fall of 2021. Passionate about politics and news journalism, she'll be pursuing a degree in broadcast journalism with a minor in political science and musical theatre. She hopes to continue her love of dancing and singing by joining USC's dance team as well as their world-renowned a cappella program. After college, Payton hopes to either enter the entertainment industry through acting and singing, or follow her dream of being an on-camera news anchor for a major media company.
